Australian Stallion Guide available online
September 21, 2014
This year’s Australasian Standardbred Stallion Guide has been completed and the publication is now being distributed to nominated breeders within Australia, and limited numbers in New Zealand.
At 180 pages, this season’s Guide is one of the biggest yet and for each stallion, features a full pedigree and stud analysis. A detailed listing of studs is included, as well as information on futurity programs, HBV’s mare & filly sponsorship and a range of relevant advertisers. This really is the must-have publication for anyone looking to breed a winning pacer or trotter!
A Fresh Approach
Previously, the distribution of this publication has been inefficient with many manual processes in place and a high level of duplication. With the help of RISE and our newly appointed end-to-end publisher, Metro Printing & Mailing Services, this year’s edition has benefited from an updated approach to database management and with refinements in coming seasons, will prove to be a significant, positive change for HBV.
This year, members of HBV, HBNSW and WASBA will receive a copy of the Guide in the post, as will any broodmare manager whose mare has been bred in the previous two seasons.
An additional batch has been provided to Harness Racing Australia, as well as each state controlling body; interested persons outside the mailing pool can collect a hard copy from the respective offices. Further copies of the Guide have been provided to HBNSW, WASBA, SA BOTRA, BOTRA Tasmania, BOTRA Queensland and NZSBA for their distribution or promotional use.
Importantly, for this season, the Guide also available online, at no charge. This will provide the whole industry quick and easy access to stallion information for the season and create extra exposure for advertisers. The online Guide can be found on the HBV website (www.vicharnessbreeders.org.au), as well as on a range of other industry sites, including ASBA and NZSA.
The HBV Committee wishes to extend its sincere thanks to Des McQueen and his team for their past efforts on the distribution of Trackbred and the Stallion Guide.
Our best wishes go out to all breeders in the coming season for healthy foals on the ground and good crosses for your mares
